The Postman always rings…for craft supplies

Tuesday, May 1
They’re here!!

After yesterday’s post I was getting worried that my Button Swap buttons were going to take forever to get here. But, this morning when the postie came he had his arms full. Not only did my buttons arrive but two other parcels as well.

Firstly, sari silk from mudhound studio on etsy

in spring crocus, vintage tea, mocha raspberry (yum), slate blue,  and sugar cane.

Two parcels of sari silk yarn from two different eBay sellers.

And last but far from least, buttons from my swap partner Renetha!

Sorry about the lousy photos, I took them on my iPhone and was just too excited to share them with you to spend more time editing them!

Ok, from the top L to R are a porcelain bead by Pat Antonick, czech glass button from Queen’s Beads, two porcelain buttons also by Pat Antonick. On the bottom row L to R is a handmade button by my button swap partner Renetha and finally a lucite button with swarovski crystals and lucite chatons from Heliotrope Beads.

I think Renetha has manage to cover every kind of colour and texture I like. The lovely earthy porcelain, the gorgeous colours and bling of the lucite and czech buttons and the classic elegance of her handmade pearl button. My head is buzzing and I think I might have to scrap my previous ideas. These buttons deserve something special!
