Mismatched Art Bead Earring Swap - Reveal

Tuesday, October 16
A little while ago, Diana from Suburban Girl Studio set a fun challenge. This challenge was to create a pair of mismatched art bead earrings and swap them with a selected partner. I first heard about this from Melissa of Bead Recipes, because the swap didn't included Australia we decided to swap earrings between ourselves and take part in the blog hop.

One thing I realised after I emailed Melissa, I didn't have any suitable art beads in my stash! A quick bit of online bead shopping solved the problem (I still wish I'd bought more of a selection through). I've since decided to consciously buy more art beads at least once a month, and preferably from Aussie Artisians, although I'm sure there will be exceptions.

Now, on to the gorgeous earrings that Melissa sent me.

A little bit of information about my new earrings from Melissa. The earwires are Trinity Brass in Antique Silver and the art beads are from Tania Tebbit of Tanglebeads.

As a happy coincidence, the day before the earrings arrived I'd purchased a new top for my spring wardrobe which perfectly matched them. I've got my eye on a few other pieces for my wardrobe which, I think, will work quite well with my new jewellery.

Look at those colours, makes it easy to choose clothing when you can wear the earring in the store.

Pop on over to Melissa to see what I made for her using these beads.
