Wrapped Stacked and Layered Bracelet Challenge and Blog Hop
Welcome to the Wrapped Stacked and Layered Bracelet Challenge. When I first signed up for this I thought it would be fun. I never guessed it would be challenging because of the difference in seasons.Pinterest has been invaluable! There are so many pictures and tutorials it has been quite a life-saver.
I took a stroll though my favourite haby store to get some beads and supplies. In my shopping basket that day I had a string of Maria George beads in rose pink and some baby blue and grey glass pearls. I was wandering around looking for more inspiration when I spotted something interesting in the lace aisle. You know the sort of lace they call eyelet lace, the kind you weave ribbon through? Running through my brain was…eyelet lace…buttons…silk ribbon. Because I’d been playing with my crocket hook lately, I knew I could make that lace!
I know it’s probably been done before, and next time I crochet this bracelet (I call it My Scalloped Wrap Bracelet) I intend to use a larger button for more design interest, I do love the sari silk though. I used the glass pearls and Maria George beads for two memory wire wrap bracelets. One with some sari silk trim and the other with gathered chain between the beads.
Need more bracelet inspiration? Well then it’s time to get hopping, Blog Hop hopping that is. Visit Tracey for the full list of participants to check out other wrapped, stacked and layered bracelets.
